Landlords: Fees and Charges

As of 2015, the law states that landlords and tenants should be made aware of all charges that may apply to their agreements.  These are outlined below, but please contact us if you need further information.

Standard Charges

Find a Tenant only fee: £600

Rent and Collect: 8% plus VAT (9.6% inclusive of VAT)

Full Management: 10% plus VAT (12% inclusive of VAT

Start up Tenancy fee: £100

Mandatory check-in fee (free for full management landlords): £110

Check-out Fee optional (free for full management landlords): £110

Initial Tenancy Agreement fee: £100

Tenancy Renewal fee: £55

Property Visits and Penalty Charges

If MMS arrange maintenance/repairs on your property an additional administration fee of 10% of the net invoice figure will be added

Extra property visits: £54

Attending the property to allow contractors access who cannot collect a key from our office: £54 per hour

Applications for fair rent or appearances before the rent officer rent assessments committiee or any other court or tribunal will be charged at £120 per half day per member of staff attending

Void management visits if required every 2 weeks: £54

Sale of the property to a tenant introduced by MMS, the fee is 0.75% of sale price plus VAT

Penalty charges after an offer to rent has been accepted verbally or in writing and the tenant has parted with funds and the Landlord changes his/her mind to rent the property a penalty fee of £420 will be charged.
